Acheinu (Our Brothers)

  • Producer: Ariella Media LLC
  • Director: Misha Zubarev

“Acheinu” depicts a conversation which took place at a bus-stop between Amir, a secular former IDF soldier and Yosef, an Orthodox man. When circumstances put them together to wait for a delayed bus, the two discover things about each other they could have never imagined, and realize they have much more in common than they think.

Itamar Zandani as Amir

Amir is a former sergeant in the IDF. Hardened by having seen his brothers fall in the battlefield, he himself has also taken enemy lives. A passionate Zionist who would give his life for a fellow Jew, like many secular Israeli veterans he has a low tolerance for the Haredim.

Jerry Hyman as Yosef

Yosef has maintained his identity as an Orthodox Jew even after being a first-hand witness to the atrocities in the concentration camps. Thin and frail on the outside, his warmth, kindness and intellect far outweigh his appearance.
