Michael Dura has been actively involved in theatre, film, music, dance, and radio for over twenty years in the Philadelphia area and elsewhere. He has portrayed a variety of characters ranging from Tarzan to Thomas Becket with such companies as Iron Age Theatre, B. Someday Productions, Lion Theatre, The Brick Playhouse, and The Drama Group. He has been a regular performer with Big Mess Theatre for the length of it's existence and still performs regularly with The Big Mess Cabaret Orchestra. He often collaborates and performs with his twin brotherTomas.

His appearances on screen include The Pope of Utah - directed by Steven Saylor & Chaim Bianco; Caught Napping - directed by Val Opielski Won Buddhism: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow - english narration; Space - Sparrow Productions; Tete-a-Tete - directed by Charles Cook; Sprain (Heart of Jack's)- Sergio M.(still in production); You've Got Junk Mail - Philly Fillums.
     In 1975 Michael received a degree in Music from LaSalle University and later went on to study voice with Regina Zona, Joyce M. DiDonato, and Thomas Scurto-Davis. The Philadelphia Folklife Institute recently awarded Michael with an apprenticeship to study Lithuanian songs with the singer Bronius Krokys. Michael frequently performs for the worldwide Lithuanian community as a solo singer and as a member of the Zilvinas Lithuanian Folk Dance Group.
