Ulea (Vera Zubarev), Director and Author, publishes books of
poetry, prose, and literary criticism. Her book A Systems Apporach
To Literature: Mythopoetics of Chekhov’s Four Major Plays,
was the basis for this film. She is currently a professor in
the University of Pennsylvania, lecturing a course on Chekhov’s
comedy among other courses. She has a PhD in literature from
UPENN, and she also studied in the theatrical school in Odessa
(Ukraine). This is her first feature film; in which she is the
screenwriter, director, and actress.
